Located on the outskirts of Hanoi, Chuong Village is famous for its centuries-old tradition of making 'Non La' (Vietnamese conical hats). Walking through the village, you can see artisans skillfully weaving palm leaves onto bamboo frames. The hats produced here are known for their durability and elegance, often featuring hidden poems or patterns revealed when held to the light. On market days (the 4th, 10th, 14th, 20th, 24th, and 30th of the lunar month), the village becomes a sea of white hats as traders gather. It offers a wonderful insight into Vietnam's rural craft heritage and provides excellent photography opportunities. It is a peaceful escape from the city and best for those interested in traditional crafts. Visiting during a market day is highly recommended for the best experience.
