Musée Gustave Moreau

The former residence and studio of the Symbolist painter Gustave Moreau, preserved almost exactly as it was in the 19th century. The museum is famous for its magnificent spiral staircase, an architectural work of art in itself. The walls are covered with thousands of paintings, drawings, and sketches, filling every available space. The atmosphere is intimate, magical, and inspiring, making you feel as if the artist has just stepped out of the room.
