Place de la Concorde

This is the largest public square in Paris, situated at the eastern end of the Champs-Élysées. It is historically significant as the site of many public executions during the French Revolution, including King Louis XVI. Today, the square is dominated by the Luxor Obelisk, a 3,300-year-old Egyptian monolith decorated with hieroglyphics. Two magnificent fountains, the Fontaine des Mers and Fontaine des Fleuves, flank the obelisk and provide a beautiful backdrop for photos. The square offers clear views toward the Arc de Triomphe in one direction and the Tuileries Garden in the other. It is a perfect spot for a scenic walk and to appreciate the grand scale of Parisian urban planning.
