כיכר רבין

Rabin Square is the largest public square in Tel Aviv and the city's primary site for political rallies, parades, and festivals. Originally called Kings of Israel Square, it was renamed after Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated here in 1995. A memorial to Rabin stands at the spot where he was shot, made of jagged volcanic stones to symbolize the national rift. The square is overlooked by the Brutalist-style Tel Aviv City Hall building. Behind the city hall, there is a small ecological pond with lily pads and benches. It serves as a central meeting point and a place of significant modern historical weight. The atmosphere is civic and reflective, particularly near the memorial.
