Hello all

Kathmandu reveled to us a another face of Nepal. Though it is crowded, people drive like crazy (which is extremely dangerous since there are no sidewalks) and you can not stand in your place for a second without someone offering to sell you something or begging for money. I Kathmandu we learned a little about few of the many Hindu gods while traveling in Durber square and Pashaputinat. Pashaputinat is a holly place by the Bagamati river (which connects to the famous Ganges in India) where Nepali people burn their dead. it is a great honor to be burned by the river though not so chip (5000 r which are about 90$). It is believed that if you die by the river you will get to immediate nirvana. From Pashaputinat we walked to Budhanat where you can see a huge Stupa (Buddhist temple), it is believed that one of Buddha's bones is buried there. We enjoyed the relaxation of the few days in Kathmandu. We learned that Kathmandu is not all about steaks and honking we left it sadly to sunny Thailand on which we shall tell in the next episode.
