Hello all
Hello all. How are you? We are doing good. We have visited 5 more national parks since our last update. The first one was Grand canyon national park. He had a very nice and long hike into the canyon. After few hours in a spring down there, we started a 2 hour, 1000 meter climb back up (with rain pouring on us all the way up). Even though passed the aged of 14 years ago, Yochai didn't give up and got his young ranger tag after filling up a workbook (he wouldn't take it off now). From there he arrived to Mesa Verde national park. From the pictures you can see it is an archeological site of the natives Americans. Some very interesting building on cliffs, 1000 years ago. Since it was the first archeological site, Yochai didnt want to leave... The local rangers had to do over hours answering his questions ;-) Arches national park was our next stop. In this park one can see beautiful arches which is the result of an endless erosions of the sandstone. Canyon Lands national park is a place you can see nature in its best. Beautiful view point’s one of them was 5:30 AM watching the sunrise with some nice people we met at the camp ground through a very large arch. Waking up that early wasn't an easy thing to do and required self discipline!!! A couple, from Israel, continued with us to Capitol reef national park. At the evening we heard some ranger program about geology of the place. In all the parks we hiked a lot, made some very good dinners (mothers..) we cooked ourselves. Now we are in a town called Jackson, near Yellowstone and Grand Teton national park. We will spend a couple of days there. Today in Jackson, we tried some rafting in the Snake river. it was fun and Erez got all wet while saving a women after she fell down from the raft... Until next time,
Erez & Yochai
